Dear Students and Parents:

As principal of Greenwood High School, I feel we continue to develop a challenging curriculum for our school. Advances in technology and job placement demand many new skills for our young people, and this is certainly our focus at Greenwood. We must continuously look for ways to motivate and challenge our students - we must plan for their entry into the career market of the 21st century and beyond!

With your help and involvement, Greenwood High School can offer a nucleus of exciting courses that will focus on student needs and challenge your potential for commitment and leadership growth. With the commitment from faculty and administration and the additional support of parents and/or guardians, all that is left is the determination from the students to achieve in everything they set out to be involved with at Greenwood. As a student we can help you; your parents can support and encourage you - but unless you really want to succeed, it will not happen!

Our mission statement for Greenwood High School is: “To establish a learning environment that will encourage all students to achieve their maximum potential and become life-long learners.” Greenwood focuses on academic achievement as its top priority for students. We all look forward to an exciting 2008-2009 school year at Greenwood High School.
